The Ultimate Guide to Tracking Habits in Notion (Without the Hassle)

A simple, sustainable way to build habits using Notion’s database features.

Habit tracking apps are great until you forget to open them. That’s why I track habits inside Notion — right where I already plan my day.

Here’s my setup: a simple database with one property per habit (checkbox), a date property, and a formula that calculates streaks. That’s it. No fancy integrations, no complicated templates.

To make it stick, I put the habit tracker on my daily dashboard. Every morning, I check off what I did yesterday. It takes 10 seconds. The key is consistency, not complexity. If you’re new to habit tracking, start with 3 habits max. Add more only when the first ones feel automatic.

Give it a try. You might surprise yourself.
